DigitalFilmCamp - 14-15 February 2012 in Berlin

The DigitalFilmCamp (DFC) started as an open conference platform/un-conference to encourage interactivity between its participants. In the course of time the DFC evolved into a high-quality one-day conference, that enabled participants to exchange about crowdfunding and the film industry. Until 2011 the DFC has been organised by Simon Chappuzeau, founder of the HomeBase Lounge Berlin.
By the end of 2011 newthinking communications GmbH will be responsible for the organisation of the 7th DigitalFilmCamp that will take place in the HomeBase Lounge Berlin in February 2012. Simon Chappuzeau will continue to support newthinking communications in his role as the program curator.
The 1st DFC-Day will start with a panel on different forms of crowdfunding. This will be followed by presentations of selected crowdfunding projects – examples of already funded projects as well as others seeking for funding. Day 1 will be focused on large-scale projects, like Iron Sky (Finland).
The 2nd DFC-Day is based around local-independent film projects and their crowdfunding concepts.
The DigitalFilmCamp is aiming to observe the development of crowdfunding film projects. To continue the exchange on crowdfunding projects after the DFC in February, participants will be invited to meet and discuss quarterly at the HomeBase Lounge Berlin, where former speaker have the chance to present the development of their projects.
